AI Expo Africa 2026 FAQ

AI Expo Africa main show runs 28–29 October 2026, Level 2, Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.  There is a private VIP opening / networking event for sponsors, exhibitors and VIP ticket holders on the evening of the 27th October taking place Level 2 foyer, Sandton Convention Centre. 

AI Expo Africa is Africa’s largtest AI event. Luanched in 2018 it is also the longest running AI event of its kind in the region. The show runs for 2 days with a blended format with 4 key elements

• Vendor & Startup Expo with networking sessions
• 4 Track Conference & Speaking Programme (52 talks & keynotes)
• CPD Workshops with 8x 200 seat 90 minute sessions
• CxO Board Rooms with 8x 32 seat (invite only) 90 minute private sessions

AI Expo Africa is an in-person only ticketed event (no online content). You must purchase a ticket in advance to attend. We only accept Credit & Debit card and Instant EFT (no cash). You can review our ticket types, conditions and register / purchase your ticket from our registration page.

Yes – You can buy tickets and register at the venue registration desk for individuals and groups up to 5 people BUT we only accept Credit & Debit card at the registration desk (you CANNOT pay by EFT / Invoice or cash at the venue).  You can review our ticket types, conditions and register / purchase your ticket from our registration page.

Yes – we welcome Groups & Teams to attend from companies for a comprehensive learning and networking expereince via our discounted team ticket packages. You can purchase group tickets (up to 5 people) online using Credit & Debit card or Instant EFT.  Invoice payments are allowed for groups of 6 or more but must be paid in advance.  You can review our team ticket types, conditions and register / purchase your ticket from our registration page.

Yes, AI Expo Africa is open to international, regional and local companies and delegates and regularly hosts global exhibitors and attendees from over 45 countries. We are joined annually by approx 100 AI & Automation brands ranging from global vendors, tier 1 and tier 2 ISVs, distributors, resellers to mid size and early stage startups.  Delegates are typically decision makers, influencers, thought leaders, mid to senior level management, end users, practitioners, entrepreneurs and investors.

Yes – All ticket types give you access to the workshops (although there is NO reserved seating and its first come first serve so arrive early! Each workshop seats 200 delegates and each one is CPD accredited via the South African AI Association You receive a CPD certifcate (credits) for attending that requires you to scan the workshop CPD QR code on arrival.  All CPD certificates are emailed to you when show closes. The SA AI Association is the approved provider Reg No. 783402 via The CPD Group UK.  

We have negotiated special event rates for the connected Sandton Sun (which allows you to walk from your hotel to the venue via a covered bridge) or the Garden Court Sandton City  (which is next door to the venue and a 1 minute walk from the hotel).  Both venues are offering discounted pricing. Other hotels are available very close by to SCC offering you multiple options and value.

You can apply via the official speaker application process on our Speaker page. We welcome submissions from all end user sectors, industry and academia. All talks are judged on merit and relevance and also segmented by vendor, buyer, academia and entrepreneur
