The speaker submission process for AI Expo Africa 2021 is now OPEN. As with previous years our speaking programme is broken down into the following 4 themes / tracks;


Talks that showcase research, innovation, standards & policy in 4IR technologies


Talks leveraging commercial software platforms, cloud, RPA, bespoke or Open Source


Talks showcasing real-world business, societal or AI 4 Good use cases


Deeper dive tech demos that are more hands on and technically complex

Talks are delivered online, pre-recorded “as live” and delegates will have the chance to interact with speakers live via Q&A chat functionality, live speaker lounge, live networking lounge or back at the vendor e-booth via video chat. Even if you miss a talk – don’t worry!  All talks are archived and so you can watch them at any time 24/7 for 30 days.

Submission process & key dates

  • We normally receive in excess of 160+ submissions per year for 80 speaking slots and we do have a reserve list.
  • DEADLINE: The submission process closes 15th July 2021
  • The initial list of 20 speakers will be notified in May 2021 with the final tranche of 60 speakers notified early August 2021.
  • Once your speaking slot is confirmed you will be required to send us your talk as a pre-corded 30 minute long presentation in MP4 format
  • All talk files must be submitted for upload no later than August 6th 2021
  • Submissions that are none compliant will be rejected

The 2021 Speaker Line-up

We are joined by a truly diverse mix of local, regional and global thought leaders with a senior level opening plenary session including ministerial, ambassadorial, academic and industry representation.

Our speakers will cover a big set of subjects, including; real world case studies, tech demonstrations, business deployments, MLOps, ethics, fraud, healthcare, banking, smart cities, RPA, Government policy, national strategy, talent acquisition, quantum computing, chatbots and customer service to name but a few.  When you join the show you can configure your own bespoke agenda so you maximise your time with the people you want to meet and talk to.
