AI Expo Africa is proud to be celebrating International Women’s Day. Since 2018 we have been long term supporters and creators of opportunities for female tech founders & communities in Africa. International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8 March 2023 and the community has several key missions, one of which relates to technology to elevate and advance gender parity and celebrate the women forging innovation.
For International Women’s Day and beyond the key theme is to #EmbraceEquity. Equity isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a must-have. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society’s DNA and it’s critical to understand the difference between equity and equality. The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren’t enough.
