AI Expo Africa 2020 ONLINE, Africa’s largest B2B / B2G artificial intelligence & smart technology trade show, took place 3rd September – 3rd October 2020 with both a Live and OnDemand show. The event was the largest of its class run in the region to date, with very positive feedback from both local, regional and international trade delegates, speakers & sponsors.

The online format was chosen for this edition of AI Expo Africa 2020 due to the restrictions around hosting face-2-face events in light of the COVID pandemic. Initial Conclusions
Although still early day, these are some of the initial conclusions we have formulated from AI Expo Africa 2020 ONLINE
- The overall feedback has been very positive – the inclusion of 40+ more exhibitors via our international pavilions and online format was a massive success.
- Many companies who would not have attended due to travel costs & logistical admin of traditional face-to-face events saw this as a clear advantage of the online format.
- The convenience of being able to watch talks with live Q&A / chat and the ability to watch talks at any time was well received and valued.
- A show of this scale also offered us some unique features and opportunities not available in traditional formats like real time analytics, bespoke reporting and a 30 day show archive.
- 97% survey respondents said they enjoyed themselves & learned something new
- 95% survey respondents said we met all their expectations
- 98% survey respondents said they would come to AI Expo Africa 2021
