AI Media Co-founder, Nick Bradshaw explains, “Building upon the successful launch of AI Expo Africa in 2018 and allied to the launch of Africa’s first AI & Data Science Magazine, Synapse on the ISSUU platform, this week saw the launch of our new AI TV streaming channel that will broadcast live on U Tube. It’s all part of our wider vision to create an AI Powered Future for Africa and to inform people about what to expect as we embrace the fourth industrial revolution in our region for social and economic benefit.  AI Expo Africa 2019 will feature the new AI TV Media Hub where we will be streaming live from the show, interviewing experts on topics such as ethics, privacy, AI4Good, education, women in AI, adoption models and investment”

AI Media Co-founder Roy Bannister concluded, “AI TV is going to allow us to engage with our community on a weekly basis, while Synapse is quarterly and AI Expo Africa is our annual community gathering.  AI Expo Africa will be one of the highlights of South African Innovation Month and AI TV gives our community members who cannot make it the opportunity to engage with us regionally and globally – it’s a brand new dimension and we are really excited about it.  Feedback from our 2018 show indicated delegates wanted a more hands on experience to better understand the new and emerging technologies that are evolving at a rate that is hard to comprehend.  AI TV is making the AI learning experience more rewarding, tangible and stimulating for viewers who like to engage via videos.  Each interview will be 15 minutes and available online via U Tube so viewers can subscribe and be notified of new episodes”.

Zimkhita Buwa, Chief Operating Officer at Britehouse and Executive Director of the Silicon Cape said, “Many young people and busy business executives often find it hard to attend events so a video based streaming channel that you can tune into is a great way to communicate the unfolding 4IR journey in Africa.  I know the team involved and it’s a grass-roots, community based movement, seeking to inform people in a pragmatic and easy to digest format.  The topics they plan to cover will be interesting and hearing from experts first-hand will keep content fresh and stimulating. The Silicon Cape team wish them well in helping inform the AI / 4IR debate over the months and years to come”.
